Tom and Anni are now "having fun" clearing the pile of junk that was in the shed into the skip.
Having spent the past month on the phone to Orange trying to sort out our broadband, I'm now having stress with BT. We received a phone bill today for £536!!!!!!! £354 of this was for an engineer's visit (to disconnect our unused fax line and make the downstairs point into the main line, which we were assured (by BT and by the engineer) would cost £99. Having spent an hour on the phone and being put through to customer services, faults, Northern Ireland, Dehli and Broadband (7 people in total) I was told to redial the number I had dialled in the first place. Aaaaaaaaaargh! The upshot is that they are very sorry, have never seen charges so high and think its wrong but wouldn't like to give me "false hope" but have suspended our direct debit whilst they investigate!!!!!!! The guy was here for 15 minutes! Who gets paid £354 plus nearly £80 in VAT for 15 minutes. But that's not the most stressful thing, the stress lies in being unable to speak to someone who knows what they're doing without spending a total of 90 minutes on the phone, most of which is on hold listening to ghastly music. .......
