We had a great time and I could quite happily have stayed the whole week. I missed everyone when I got home so I sat down and made a 153 frame slideshow for Friday. We very nearly didn't have many photos since my beloved decided I ought to be as wet as everyone else during It's A Knockout and threw a bucket of water over me whilst I was taking a photograph! My camera died but thankfully sprang back into life a few hours later.
It was good to be back at a place we knew.
Highlights were:
A very real sense of God's presence with us.
Getting to know some new people and getting to know some people a lot better.
Watching the group on the low ropes at Viney Hill.Josh and Luke Griffin's puppet show~ it was hilarious.
Jon Mackenzie's School for Scousers with Tom, Nay and Callum.
The excellent behaviour of the YP who were all tucked up in their beds by 11pm every night (ahem! well at least they were quiet enough to make us think they were)
Having really good weather the whole time.
Great singing.
Managing to stay up until 1.30am (quite an achievement for me!)
Guy Valet came with us.
We had been looking forward to Pensil's new ovens, but it turned out that they were almost as bad as the ones we had last year. It still took half a day to cook a lasagne.
Now we're on the lookout for a place for next year's adventure.....
