Anni decided that she wanted to make dessert today and here it is! We all thought it was most excellent and blogworthy. She had no help except with whipping the cream. It tasted as good as it looks too. Tom (who is fruitphobic) was unimpressed but was encouraged to eat some anyway, minus the strawberries. It hasn't been the best of weeks. Peter blacked out whilst driving his car last Thursday, thankfully he was only doing about 5 mph. He came to when something hit him. He was ok, but at the hospital they seemed to think it was a TIA, which is a bit scary. He didn't tell me until about 7 hours after the event because I had a job interview at my school for a job I'd been waiting 13 years for and I didn't get it. So Thursday goes down as one of my worst days in history. What happened with Peter kind of made the job thing pale into insignificance.
BUT... in the words of Bing Crosby "When I'm worried and I can't sleep, I count my blessings instead of sheep.."

What is a job in the grand scheme of things? I have far more really important jobs I have to do, like being a mother for starters.
I had a lovely weekend with lots of lovely friends who cheered me up just by being themselves and
we had our first barbecue of the year and got to sit in my favourite place, under the pergola by candlelight.
Really do think it's time to move on from school though. In fact I have promised my brother, and myself that I will.

Sorry to hear about Peter - hope the dr's find out what caused it and it is nothing major. I do have to ask though - since when did Peter drive ANYWHERE at 5mph?
Good point Andy. The answer is, when driving off a little roundabout... Although I have to say I wasn't in the car to verify the speedometer.
