Dungeons, crypts and scary shirts

Our kids have chosen some great places to live and we do love visiting. This weekend it was Edinburgh, which was looking all splendid and autumnal. We stayed in our favourite hotel and on our (very late) arrival found a fab curry house round the corner from Tom's flat. On Saturday we had a mooch round the shops and the town before lunching in a fish restaurant (something Anni would never allow). I did miss Anni though; spending the day with the boys undiluted is a bit like spending the day with Vic & Bob!
Two silly peas in a pod!
We had a lovely afternoon, visiting the Edinburgh Dungeons, which were really well done and really rather scary, especially the boat trip to the cannibals' cove, in the pitch blackness. Equally scary was the new shirt Tom insisted we buy him!
We had a catch up in Tom's local with his flatmate Corrin, before going off to Whiski for dinner and then doing the underground closes tour with his friend Lucy and her parents. We rounded the night off at the Rat Pack bar with some great live music.
On Sunday, it was lovely to join Tom at his church before lunch and the road south. We must have walked miles as we are soooo achey now.
