Flying the nest

What a weekend it has been! After a week of washing, ironing, packing and arranging, Peter drove Tom up to his new flat in Edinburgh on Friday, whilst I helped Anni get ready to leave. On Saturday morning, we drove over to Leeds, to move Anni into her new flat...and new it certainly is!
She is sharing a flat with two girls and two boys, with a lovely living area with two sofas!!! Then she has her own little room with a tiny en suite loo and shower room.
After three journeys from the car to the flat (thankfully it has a lift) it finally began to look more like home.
One very tired Poppa Bear arrived in time to take her food shopping and see her settle in. One of the boys was cooking for them all, so we made ourselves scarce and sat in a restaurant thinking...wow! This is it now.
It was a shame we had to travel home in two cars. I felt lonely. I managed not to cry until Taylor Swift came on my CD player, singing this. Missing them both but excited for them at the same time.
