This year I made an advent calendar based on an idea I found on Pinterest. I bought a pack of 24 mini gift bags from Ikea, decorated each one with supplies from my scrapbooking stuff and then inside have placed a chocolatey treat and a little envelope with a Christmassy activity. So far Anni has had to make a Christmas playlist for her ipod, read us all The Night Before Christmas and make a hot chocolate and stir it with the candy cane from the advent bag. Today's activity was to bake Christmas tree brownies. Her friend Ella was here for tea and so she had a helping hand. I think they did a grand job! These are the first baked treats ever to come out of our new oven. The Wednesday night YP did an equally great job of demolishing the brownies.
