...Literally. There has been a lot of dust. We said goodbye to the builders today (until they come back in the spring to do the decking) and we are delighted to be all finished a week ahead of schedule and in good time for Christmas. The scaffolding is gone and we have a new leak free roof.
For the first time today, we have a working oven. we were so wrapped up in choosing units, we failed to notice that we had chosen an electric oven (which I have never had in my life before) and a gas hob. So we had a last minuted major electric job on today, hence more plastering is now needed.
It has been an upheaval of epic proportions and we have been yearning for home cooked food but now we are glad that we did it before Christmas. We just have to paint and put everything back into the craft room this weekend and then everything will be back to normal.
