It is lovely to be a family of four again and have Tom back home. We are very thankful that he has been given his old job back for Christmas and has had lots of shifts. He arrived on Friday at lunch, worked from 6-10.30pm and then was in again at 6am the next morning and has since worked every day bar Christmas Day and Boxing Day. He will certainly be needing to fill his Christmas "man bowl"!
My Mum wet to my brother's for Christmas and we went to Peter's parents. Peter's mum always does amazing Christmas dinners and this year she excelled herself. Tom is still raving about her bread sauce. As well as Peter's parents, we joined my bil and sil Tim and Marianne and their two little lovelies...
..... and Judith without Dan, who has had a severe bout of man flu and was bed ridden on Christmas Day.
Tom was sporting one of his Christmas jumpers from Nanna and enjoying having a day off, spending time with family and eating real home cooked food...oh..and warmth. He actually complained that his bedroom was too hot the other night. Edinburgh is clearly acclimatising him for Russia next year!
Peter is sporting a Christmas beard. I was sporting a Christmas cold sore.
I love chilling with my sils. We are hatching plans for Glamping 2013 and a new venue.
In the evening came food round two and Tom was in his element.
Fave presents this year were the iphones. Peter's Mum is so 21st century that her iphone is more up to date than Tom and Anni's. Who else has a Grandma who has an ipad and an iphone and can text, use face time and facebook?
We had a lovely day and I didn't have to put up with the playstation until the evening :-) Merry Christmas; God bless us every one.
