Splendid

After a ridiculously busy week we had a much needed escape again on Saturday, this time to Warwick Castle. (I had some 2 for 1 vouchers). I rather liked the fact that you were allowed to take photographs inside. Annabel rather liked the splendid library.

All three of us liked the rather splendid sunshine. Tom working on Saturdays for the past year has meant that we have had to get used to day trips without him, in preparation for him going away to university (sob,sob). He actually confessed that he misses family days out. In fact last night he had a massive nostalgic longing for a family holiday to Normandy again.

Anyway, it was lovely to take time out to stop and smell the flowers.  

The best part of the day was that we went to have dinner at Hannah and Nathan's. I was so busy loving catching up with them that I forgot to take any photographs of them. But rest assured, they too, are splendid.
