As an early Mother's Day treat for my mum, Anni and I took her to see The Sound Of Music last night. Actually, it was just as much a treat for me. When I saw the posters advertising Jason Donovan as Captain Von Trapp, I couldn't resist. I was not disappointed. I had booked seats which I had thought were in the 4th row, but the first two rows were missing (to make room for the orchestra I presume) and so we were actually right in the middle of the 2nd row. Result! We had such a perfect view. The performance gave me goosebumps and at times brought on the tears. Verity Rushworth has such an amazing voice, so strong and clear. I loved every single minute of it. *Sigh*
