Yesterday we had a family gathering at my bil and sil's Michael and Gill's in Northampton. Gill is the sil who made me my much loved Christmas snowmen. To my delight, she had made me a lovely new snow couple, who now have pride of place in the purple room. Aren't they gorgeous?

It's always lovely to see the cousins get together and watch them enjoying one another's company. Erin was pottering around with all thinks pink, just like watching Anni when she was that age. Now she and cousin Lizzie are all grown up. I was shocked to realise that Lizzie is now considerably taller than me.

Anni's Christmas jacket is becoming like Columbo's overcoat, I think she will eventually need to have it surgically removed. The only thing she doesn't do is sleep in it.

The younger girls were having a ball together.
Of all the cousins in the upper age bracket there aren't many boys. There's Jonathan at 23, Tom at 16 and then a huge gap until Euan and Oliver. So Tom enjoys a touch of hero status, especially for his abilities to move them up levels on their DS Mario games.
On the subject of games, Gill had some musical Christmas crackers in which everyone had a numbered tooter and you had to get together over some music and toot whenever your number came up.
The results were rather hysterical and needless to say, I don't think we'll be cutting a disc.
