Tom was so tiny when he was born at 7.39pm 16 years ago today. He was 18 days early. If he'd hung on, he wouldn't have found himself sitting a History GCSE on his 16th birthday.
Peter is away until tonight, Tom's in the middle of GCSEs and I'm in the middle of an inspection, so we're going to celebrate properly at the weekend. But for today we had John over to tea and had some Purple Ronnie birthday cake.
One of the many things I love about my not so tiny son is his ability to make us all laugh, sometimes it only takes an expression on his face. Happy birthday Tom, we love you loads xxx
