My get up and go has got up and gone. I think I have post inspection fatigue. I could quite happily be in my bed right now and it is only just past 8pm. I have to muster the energy to plan some lessons for tomorrow...
Just thought I'd share some things that have made me chuckle this week.
1) My nephew Joe is currently in Japan and will soon be moving on to Thailand. Mum had been speaking to my brother and said, "Isn't it great that Joe got to climb Millycanjiro?" Funnier still, I think what she means is that he got to see Mount Fuji.
2) Mum came to tea yesterday and with her in the car on the way to town Tom asked (as usual), "What's for tea Mum?"
Don't know yet.
"Can we have nachos and fajitas?"
I don't think Nana is a nachos and fajitas girl, Tom.
"Oh I don't mind," Mum pipes up, "Let him listen to what he wants."
3) Tom has a Physics exam tomorrow. Annabel asked, "Which one's Physics Tom?"
4) Teaching the same year 9 class who marvelled at me being married for nearly 20 years and not being sick of him, I was asked,
"Are you French Miss?"
No.
"Are you half French then?"
No.
"Are you a quarter French?
No.
"Well are you an eighth French?"
No, I'm not at all French, but I'm very impressed with your Maths.
"Not at all French!"
What makes you think I'm French?
"Well when you speak French it's all blabbedy blabbedy blah blah."
There was a pause.
"Not at all French? Well I am surprised at that!"
Honestly, do I sound remotely French? I'm from Salford!
