On Saturday we went to Chester Zoo. I didn't think I would enjoy a zoo trip as much after having been on safari in South Africa, but on Saturday we saw some spectacular sights. The big cats were on top form. Whenever I've been to the zoo before, they've been sleeping and barely visible but on this occasion the tiger was eating a rabbit (yeuch!), t
he lion was refusing to play with the lioness and gave the loudest, kingliest roar I've ever heard and the jaguar was sitting on a platform baring his fangs. In addition to all this , we saw the ghastly sights of giraffes and elephants performing their oblutions and were very nearly weed on from on high by a coati. There was a depressed orang-utan hiding under a sackcloth too. And with all this, some rare human sights such as a woman who had overdone the St Tropez and was positively tangerine and a famous face from the telly which none of us could place. All in all, a cracking day out!
The only thing is, all the children are catching up with me and I feel sure that I am shrinking. I'm startin
g to feel like Mrs Pepperpot!
