Christmas is coming to Summerton

Bonfire night was very special this year because it marked the 10th anniversary of my cancer op and for the first time in 10 years, I didn't think about it until a week later. How cool is that?
But now I feel all Christmassy. Tonight we had a music practice in Summerton. Joan Hur has written a cracking new tune to O Little Town Of Bethlehem. Four angelic voices and two flautists and it sounds amazing even after only one practice. Well, the singers sound amazing. Our flute descant needs some practice. Joan is very talented. Made me feel all Christmassy.
The people of Summerton are on the move soon, to Beachlot Girls School. The very one deemed just last week as outstanding by OFFPUT. So named because that's what they do, they come into your classroom and put you off. Especially my poor friend Val. Imagine the rotten misfortune of having a grumpy Scottish OFFPUT inspector who tells you "Humour has no place in the classroom" and "I'm going to downgrade your lesson because you only have one plug socket" Duh-huh! Well, imagine how you'd feel if you moved schools as Val did, only to get OFFPUTted all over again and in walks...dun...dun..der. .. the very same grumpy Scot. I told her to give him my love, right after she put laxatives in his tea and itching powder down his pants. (Good Christian woman that I am).
More news this week, my husband has had his hair cut too short and has been likened to Bert (of Bert and Ernie) from Sesame Street.
