Trouble with the drains

Everybody in Summerton lives in a toadstool. One couple have a very posh toadstool. They are very posh people. Randy and Joan speak perfect English. In fact Randy used to be very high up in government on the Shetland Isles. He likes penguins very much. He can even impersonate them so well that you'd never know it wasn't an actual penguin you were listening to.
One day Joan could smell a terrible smell in Summerton. She called for Rube because she was convinced it was the drains and she had been telling him about the drains for a very long time. It was Rube's job to fix the drains, and in fact anything else that needed fixing. But whenever you wanted him to actually fix anything you first had to go through the ritual of listening to all his favourite phrases; "Goodnight Vienna" "It's okay, December will do" and "Oh 'ey!"
On this occasion though, there was nothing to fix other than Dieter's wind problem. But Joan must never know that. Dieter just sat grinning in the corner guiltlessly. Thankfully, someone had a quiet word with Rube. "Oh brother!" he said and sped off with his friend Aston.
