Do you remember...?
Spangles; Crying at Little House on The Praire; Typewriters with round, black keys and a bell that rang when you got to the end of the line; Dial phones (why was the emergency number the longest one you could possibly have to dial?); Black and white tv; Tv that stopped at bedtime; Life without remote controls; Record players; Reel to reel tape players; Roads with hardly any cars on; Travelling by bus; Wearing royal blue and fuschia pink together, probably with shoulder pads; Mary, Mungo & Midge; Paying 2 and a half pence for a packet of crisps or a bus journey; 40 seeming really old?

999 is so you could put your fingers in the dial in a dark or smoked filled room and the second one would be a 9 (0 being the next phone number)
