I've been working too hard lately. It's tough going from 6 weeks of chillaxing to hitting the ground running. We should have had some friends up for the weekend but they weren't able to make it and so we made some new last minute plans. Anni was babysitting her little cousins on Friday night and stayed overnight at her Aunty Judith's. Peter and I went to pick her up on Saturday morning and were treated to a delicious brunch of pancakes with maple syrup. Then we went over to the recently revamped gallery of costume in Manchester. With Peter working in the fashion industry and Anni aspiring to, it was a good choice of place to visit. I particularly liked the Givenchy dress which had belonged to Audrey Hepburn and this hat:
I also loved the collection on magazines from the 1950's. From there we went on to Manchester to shop for Peter's birthday present and ended up rounding the day of with dinner in Knutsford, which works out a whole lot cheaper when Tom isn't with us! (He works until 10pm on Saturdays). Feeling much better for our day out :)
