Reckless teetering

I had a very vivid dream last night, that I had climbed to the top of this tower, the one Tom and I ventured to the top of in Croatia. Only this time I was outside, on the top ledge, teetering precariously but without a care in the world. I was only bothered by it when I woke up and had to keep telling myself that I hadn't really done it. I think that was a pretty good reflection of my day today. I had a busy day, with six new trainees arriving. One of those days when so many little things go wrong: Such as photocopying a booklet only to find that the copier has randomly decided to ignore some of the pages. Giving instructions where a person should be sent, only to find the university has sent a different person, whose name didn't click with the office staff and then they ended up being left in reception for nearly an hour. Organising the tumble dryer repair man to come and forgetting you were on busy duty and would be late.
I think we need a weekend of recovery, with no plans other than to sort out all the little things that need fixing at home. The tumble dryer was pronounced dead, so that needs replacing and we need to fix the sticking door, the handleless airing cupboard door, the leaking radiators, the leaking boiler, the chandelier that still hasn't been put up since Anni's room was decorated in January, the brakes on our bicycles...
Anyone know a good Mr Fixit?
