Mess!

A major step forward today ~ Peter had his MRI scan at last. Another major step forward, above is the hall as it was before building. Today we said goodbye to our forever sticking and jamming front door, a dear old friend of the Mackenzies and Foulkes's whenever they came to feed our pets in our absence. Now the entrance hall looks like this:

It's a big party entrance which even has room to house Peter's entire shoe collection and have room to swing Barthez round. (Not that we would ever dream of doing such a thing to Barthez, I hasten to add.) At the moment, it looks a horrific mess but I am assured by the builders that there won't be much left to do by the end of the week. Well, we're not holding our breath! In the words of Al Murray, "Rome wasn't built in a day, although that was the builders' orginal estimate."
Tomorrow evening is going to be entertaining, as one by one the Winterley small group take an unexpected nose dive into the house. Better employ Tom as doorman.
