A Time For Us

We escaped for the weekend! We left the teenagers in charge of one another and went for a weekend in Windsor, just for some time out together. We had a lovely time just chillaxing and mooching. It did us good. We are both just so tired, it was nice not to have to think about anything. I loved walking around Windsor. I particularly loved these post boxes.
We must have done an awful lot more walking than we realised, because my leg muscles today feel as if I have been to the gym! We sat outside a very cute pub by the castle to rest our legs and watch the world go  by, wondering how her Maj copes with all those planes flying overhead.
Then we found this incredibly straight, long walk, which I wanted to do but Peter didn't, so I made do with a photograph instead.

This morning, Peter was looking for a local church on his ipad and found this place, where we went this morning and were really uplifted and encouraged by a sermon on Daniel, and by the friendliness of the people who spoke to us afterwards. We were really glad we went. We meandered home via the Bicester outlet village (which was disappointing) and a very late lunch in Warwick. And when we finally got home, it was to a surprisingly neat and tidy house.

Hey Lol, missed you Sunday but glad you were having fun. I like Windsor too. My Gran was it`s deputy mayoress and met the Queen while in that office. I went back there with my sister and Beth a couple of years ago, and loved walking around it, and the castle is spectacular. Love your top picture. Very fab xx
